These kinds of slogans are seen everywhere nowadays. What do they indicate? Discuss in groups of four. Then write a paragraph in about 40 words on the given topic.
Our Environment
These slogans show that people are becoming more aware of environmental issues. They highlight the need to fight global warming, save forests, and plant trees. Such messages inspire us to take action and protect our planet for future generations.

B.6. What does the poet mean by the phrase ‘wings of life’? Why has it been used to describe the growing tree?

Answer – Title: A Day Without Trees
It was the hottest day ever. I walked to school but couldn’t find a single tree on the road. There was no shade, and my feet burned on the scorching pavement. Birds sat sadly on electric wires, having no trees to perch on. Our school’s playground had no green lawns or parks, just dry soil everywhere. Even the air felt dirty and heavy. Everyone looked tired and weak. That day made me realise how important trees are. Without them, Earth is not the same — no beauty, no coolness, no joy.
B.9. You have gone through some slogans in B.1. Create some more slogans on trees and environment and make a poster using any one of them. Put up the poster on the class notice board.
