B.1. Listen to the poem ‘Curious Town’ as given in tape script and complete B.2.

Answer – Listen the audio or read the poem carefully.

 

B.2. The poet calls it a curious town because the following things are curious there, for one reason or the other. Write under each figure one strange behaviour of each.

  1. Cat saying “woof woof”
    The cat barks like a dog.
  2. Dog saying “miaoo miaoo”
    The dog mews like a cat.
  3. Tree growing upside down
    The tree is growing with its roots up.
  4. River full of fire
    The river is flowing with fire instead of water.
  5. Man walking on four legs
    The man is walking on four legs like an animal.
  6. Boat sailing on a mountain
    The boat is moving over rocks instead of water.
