Johnny Appleseed loved apples. He was born in Massachusetts. He grew up on a farm full of apple trees. When he was twenty years old, he went to Ohio. He walked across many weeks. He met some settlers. They were building log cabins by the river. He distributed apple seeds to them during his stay there. He also walked along the land digging holes with his stick and dropping apple seeds into them. A girl, Nellie Nead told him that she had never met anyone like him before and that he had an apple for a brain.
