Genders
Look at the following family tree and the names of some of the relationships in the Aid Box. Then complete the sentences given on the next page. Some sentences have been completed as examples.
Aid Box – (son, daughter, father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, cousin, grandfather, grandmother, son-in-law, daughter-in-law).
- Sunita Nayyar is Kishori Lal Nayyar’s daughter.
- Rajat Kapoor is Kishori Lal’s son-in-law.
- Dheeraj Nayyar is Kishori Lal’s son.
- Pallavi Bansal is Shanta Devi’s daughter-in-law.
- Madhuri Kapoor is Dheeraj Nayyar’s niece.
- Abhimanyu Nayyar is Sunita Nayyar’s nephew.
- Dheeraj Nayyar is Madhuri Kapoor’s uncle.
- Mahima Kapoor is Shanta Devi’s granddaughter.
- Pallavi Bansal is Sunita Nayyar’s sister-in-law.
- Ankit Nayyar is Madhuri Kapoor’s cousin.
Note: All these people belong to either the ‘male’ or ‘female’ gender based on their roles.
