THE AUTUMN SEASON

Introduction

In India, we count six seasons in a year. Autumn Season is one of them. It is composed of September and October. It comes after the Rainy Season. It is the third season of the year when fruit is gathered. So, it is known as the fruit gathering season.

Usefulness

Autumn is at war with the rain. The Autumn-wind dispels the driedclouds in the sky. The sunny weather of Autumn wipes off the footprints of the rainy season. The muddy paths are up. Bogs and swamps are no more seen. The marshy-land gets dried and ditches are dried too. Gutters are dried up. Water in ponds and rivers is no more muddy. The mud in the water goes down unto the beds and the water looks clear and blue. It is transparent

Natural sight

Autumn is decked with the beauties of nature. The dry clouds float in the sky. Most of them are white and bulging. They look like sail-boats floating on the sea. Sometimes clouds drizzle and sometimes they rain a few drops.

The beautiful Autumnal flowers are in bloom. We see many kinds of lotus in ponds. They are white, blue and red. All the day they look at the sun. The white and blue lilies bloom in the evening. Some of the lilies are red too. All the night, they gaze at the moon.

The glossy moon of Autumn beams bright. The moonlit sky looks like a beautiful blue glass. The Autumnal breeze passes through the green boughs of the trees and the leaves rustle. They make a dreamland of light and shade. The cool touch of the Autumnal wind works magic in us. We feel a thrilling sensation all over our body and new vision come to our mind.

Conclusion

Autumn is cool and beautiful. It is highly praised by the lovers of beauties. Great poets of past and present have sung the praise of Autumn. Hence, we welcome this season.
