A.9. Value Based Question

Some children had gone for a picnic on a beach. After eating their food, they threw the wrappers on the beach and in the sea. Were they right in doing so? Why? What would you do to restore the natural beauty and cleanliness of the beach?

Answer – The children were not doing right thing because they are destroying nature’s beauty and plastic takes time to decompose as well as it is harmful for animals, birds and fishes.

We can pick the wrappers and plastic bottles from the beach and throw them into the dustbin. Moreover, we can set up different dustbins for waste disposal for recycling waste, for wet waste and also for non-biodegradable waste. In this way, we can restore the natural beauty and cleanliness of the beach.

A.10. Imagine yourself to be the woman who was saved by the dolphin. Describe in a few sentences what happened to you.

Begin like this:

Answer – One day, I was on a boat on the sea. A wave pushed the boat and I fell into the water. I tried to swim but soon I grew tired. After a while a dolphin came near me and gently pushed me towards shallow water. I Was saved. A gentle dolphin saved me. Dolphins are one of the friendly creatures on earth.

A.11. Like the dolphins, dogs too, are very useful animals. They help us in many ways. Read this short passage on dogs.

Answer – Students will read the passage ‘Dogs’ under the supervision and guidance of the subject teacher.

Add information of at least two more breeds of dogs with their pictures.
