Introduction
Look carefully at the two pictures given below and then answer some questions.
(i) Observe the two pictures and tell what these signify?
Answer – The picture ‘A’ signifies the beauty of the woods. How beautiful they look when trees grow and not cut down. Where as the picture ‘B’ signifies deforestation which is cutting down of tress and destroying the nature’s beauty.
(ii) Which would you like to visit during your vacation- Forest A or B?
Answer – I would like to visit Forest ‘A’ during my vacation.
(iii) Give one reason as to why you chose the particular forest.
Answer – I choose this forest because there are lots of trees and trees accommodate lots of birds and animals. So, if I visit this forest then I will get chance to witness nature’s beauty and will be able to see different types of animals and birds in their natural habitat.
(iv) How can we prevent Forest A from becoming Forest B? Suggest any two ways.
Answer – We can prevent forest ‘A’ from becoming Fastest ‘B’ by following ways.
We must promote afforestation which is planting more trees.
We must raise our voice to prevent deforestation which is cutting down of trees.
