C.5. You and your friends have formed a ‘Friends of the Earth’ club. You prepare a street play to convey the message that the clock is fast ticking away and that we must recognise the urgency with which we need to act.

Distribute roles. Enact your presentation in the class. Prepare a speech for the morning assembly on the topic – ‘Save your environment, Save yourself ’.

Speech Title: “Save Your Environment, Save Yourself”

Good Morning Respected Principal, Teachers and Dear Friends,
I am here to speak on an urgent issue—our environment is in danger, and so are we. Every tree we cut, every river we pollute, and every plastic bag we throw is a step towards a future we won’t want to live in. The River Ganga, once a lifeline and sacred, is dying due to our ignorance.
We must act now: stop using plastic, conserve water, and plant trees. Join hands, form clubs like our ‘Friends of the Earth’, spread awareness through plays and posters, and most importantly, change your habits.
Because when we save the environment, we are saving our health, our homes, and our future. Let’s not wait. The clock is ticking.
Thank you!
